Camps that provide a safe week of happy memories, building self worth and confidence, learning life skills, and creating hope for the future, for children who have experienced abuse.

Role and responsibilities

  1. Getting copy of the music for the curriculum from Camp Director, and getting this burnt onto CDs for each child with the front cds also being printed with the song list and appropriate title and picture for the curriculum for that year.
  2. Also involved getting the children motivated and teaching them pre-learnt actions to the chosen songs.
  3. Putting together slides with the lyrics on them for the kids to read off.
  4. Setting up J-Zone and Breakfast Club music in the mornings.

If Possible:

Co-ordinate a band for camp.  This involves pulling together and mediating a live band including finding the sheet music for the songs.  Work closely with the director to enquire as to musical talent within the team.  Arrange jam sessions prior to going to camp so the band is well prepared with the songs.
